It’s a great way to recharge and find peace amidst the seasonal chaos. We have compiled a list of fun, family-friendly events to enjoy while you’re on vacation on the Grand Strand.

The Carolina Opry Christmas Special, often called The Christmas Show of the South, opens its 39th season of enchanting holiday performances in November. The theater is known throughout the Southeast for its extravagant holiday decor and their staff photographers are available for family photos in the lobby in front of the gorgeous tree.

One of the most popular events of the season is Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens. This event begins November 30 and extends every weekend through January with more than 2,700 candles and thousands of lights that illuminate the gardens and highlight its history and beauty.

Don’t miss Winter Wonderland at The Beach, a unique event showcasing a free lights display along a beautiful mile of oceanfront on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. While the lights will be up through New Year’s Day, the actual festival takes place December 1-3 with live entertainment, photos with Santa and free hot chocolate.
